    2.5 Bilstein lift
    My OEM key fob went out a few years ago and I replaced it with one from Amazon but did not last too long. Can anyone recommend a good one that is not from the dealer? Thanks

    I bought this set on Ebay last year, programmed up using the "chicken dance" method without issue. Can't say they've seen heavy use in that time, tho.

The screw back is more secure, unless you strip the plastic threads, and the design has a special place in the back that supports the CR2032 battery and its board bracket. Barcelona Red has the high-end version with red anodized screws. The squared off edges make it easier to locate in deep pockets.

    9-22 I broke down and ordered a second fob case for the master and spare (and a set of four climate control knobs (black with red anodized screws) for Barcelona Red.

    Why is my FOB intermittently working? Super finicky! 2005 TRD. Yes the batteries are new in the FOB.
    Seems to lock more than unlock.

    Have you ever cleaned the surfaces where the button meets the circuit board? After 17 years in pockets, there’s probably some “schmutz” on them.

    Rigid backup lights on trigger and manual switch
    I had both of my fobs act up on me on my 06 DCSB trd off road. for me it was the solder points on the green board had broke and would occasionally fall back into place and work properly for the lock button. (unlock worked fine so it was frustrating)

    I got replacements on Amazon and programmed them the first try without fail. they have been working for going on 5 months without even a single issue.

    I have an 06 and upgraded to this switchblade vw style unit. Just cut the key, transfer the circuit board and cut open the old key and take out the transponder and glue it into the designated spot in the new case. Works great.

    Just received a postcard from Batteries Plus. They sell and cut new keys, and presntly have a 50% discount on programming keys and fobs.
