Whats the big deal with adding a "THE" to what ever university you attend or a fan of?

Some sort of superiority complex, I suppose?

I don't have an issue with people using it or adding it, but trying to trademark the word "The"... not gonna happen. It's literally the most commonly used word in the English language. I know what they're going for, but it won't happen

All good. Like I said. Didn't hurt his draft or career one bit. Plus any chance I get to relive the 90s... I'll jump ;)

You said a "very good Alabama and ND defense" when in reality, neither were "very good". Top 30 isnt very good. Its mediocre and anything under top 50 just wasnt playing defense (cough Oklahoma) ND didnt play anyone dynamic except for Clemson. Clemson didnt play anyone dynamic except for Alabama at the end of the season....They had a top 5 defense.

These are the national rankings for TOTAL DEFENSE. Stats are stats.

Clemson didnt play a top 20 defense until they met Alabama and only won by an average of 22-ish points. (Dabo's most recent words)
Alabama played the defenses I mentioned and won by an average of 38+ points.

So, you watched Tua get a massive lead and sit in the second half while Alabama continued to run the ball and score. He'll be more developed this year and I can only hope his reading of defensive switching will improve. (Alabama probably would have ran more RPO plays had Tua been healthy also, which would have basically put the Clemson defense at least in a cautionary state, instead of KILL KILL KILL...hahahaha)

ND and Alabama’s defenses were talked up all season. I checked the overall rankings, and like you said, they’re lumped together. There’s a bunch of shit teams that play no one (Marshall was even top-30), so I take all that with a massive grain of salt.

SEC defenses are good, but let’s not kid ourselves that most SEC offenses aren’t that good. Miss State’s highly ranked defense got scored on by anyone that had a good offense.

I watched Tua hit receivers in stride or struggle to read a defense. His numbers were impressive, but his actual QB IQ doesn’t feel that high. The sophomore starter comment doesn’t work for me because he studied behind Hurts for a year and then got plenty of game time up to playing what I can only assume you think was an overrated Clemson defense (unless I’m reading into that wrong). Both teams consistently put tons of talent in the NFL lately, with much of it being defense. I wouldn’t say Alabama’s defense was much worse, I’d say Clemson’s offense was that good and their defense got to match up against teams playing from behind.

I’m just mad that WVU is gonna be a pile of asshole this year. I’m pumped Dana is gone, but he left the team thin.
