    TAKE A DEADBLOW AND HIT THE ROTOR ON THE WHEEL MOUNTING SURFACE... sorry caps lock... if the deadblow doesnt work.. try an air hammer just to rattle the rotor, it will break the rust... other option is only if you plan to replace the rotor.. beat it with a sledge between the studs... then get a wire brush, or a whizzer wheel with some 3m pads, and whiz off the rust.. and coat with anti-sieze.. like I said before the copper spray is a huge tiemsaver when doing this over and over in a shop.. also before you start beating on your cars be sure your parking brake is off... it'll make it a complete bitch to remove if you left them on...

    I wish,,, was at 19.8 mpg the other day.. now it reads 19.2/tank, I'll see if I can stay off the skinny pedal for this MA trip... I made it to boston airport and back (360miles) on 1 tank this past winter...

    not horribly obsesed with the MPGs.. I figure it's more smiles per gallon... WAY more fun to drive knowing I have passing power... my mazda CX-5 was a pain.... had to plan EVERY highway/road pass because it had no passing power... had to redline it just to get to speed on the on ramps...

    Hit up "Thunder Mountain bike park" AKA Berkshire East Ski Resort today with my brother. First time ever on actual trails, and second time ever on a bike since I was in middle school. What a fun time! I was using his old bike and my 4 wheeler helmet, but I couldn't have had more fun. First run I was trying to turn my wheel like I was driving a 4wheeler and that was obviously sketchy...by the second run I remembered how to ride a bike and started hitting some smaller jumps. Got 6 runs in and will try to go back a few times more before ski season. Brother has a seasons pass and tons of extra gear and always bugging me to go, so I will have plenty of opportunities! Also is putting a wider front tire on the bike I use tomorrow, so that should be even more fun, right now I think he said it's 1.8? Trying to get a 2.3 or something on there (my lingo might be wrong but I'm trying to be cool so bare with me:rolleyes:) Had enough fun where I'd look into getting into it, but won't really look before next year as the stuff is all so pricey, I need to save up for our winter slow down before I start dropping 5k on a f***ing bike that doesn't even have a motor in it!

    Saw lots of tacos in the parking lot! Maybe @BadDNA do you bike? I think I saw you there skiing once, looked sorta like your truck but maybe not enough steel:confused: Another guy with a 3rd gen who might be delivering @Blais03 tent right after a few more runs :boink::boink:

    Looks like fun.. i have my TREK 930, but its a hardtail.. downhill is not it's thing... it'll do it, just not comfortably.. I sissied out, and put some hybrid tires on it as I rode on-road mostly.. need to do some work to it.. probably a new chain.... seems rear casette gears keep skipping, but I guess it doesnt likemy 250lb self forcing it to go faster... lol..

    I think full suspension for the stuff I was doing would be a must, or at least the best option. I saw some big dudes out there today, 250lbs wouldn't have been the max!

    I do bike and I've been there a bunch, but not today. I love that place, there's a load of good progression and the lines are never unreasonable.

    Really fun park and glad to have a cool place so close. I was making the trek to Highland prior to that but it gets old driving quick haha.

    I'm happy you got your tent, but I have enjoyed joking about its delivery!

    Anyone taking advantage of the tax free weekend?

    I'm unfortunately lighting my credit card on fire tomorrow to finish up baby stuff, but it will be well worth it. I should buy new tires for the wife's Jeep, but I'm going to see how long it takes them to go from 5/32nd to the wear bars.

    Awesome. Though, you dont need to drop 5k on a bike. Especially just looking to bet back into it. Id set the budget for 3-4k. Depends on the riding you want/will do.
    In fact, I know where is a brand new full carbon Stumpjumper for around 3500

    @Bridge4 how tall are you?

    I was looking on Craigslist last night (much to the wifes chagrin) and noticed for 2.5-4k people are selling nice 1-2 year old bikes. I'm about 6'0 185lbs.

    Right now I'm not really in a position to buy a bike, but I do think in the spring I will be. Winters are slow for us and I think I'd be in trouble if I spent 3-4k on a bike right now, especially after the house build this year and getting furniture and stuff. But my goal is to get one maybe around April?

    I'm open to any advice and suggestions, I used to love bikes as a kid but haven't been in that world since I was about 14 and so much has changed.
