I had three of those in my first gen Taco double cab. Fist 3 grandkids, then number 4 came and also a Ford Expedition with 3 row seats and all anchors. There first 4 are now 18, 16 year old twins, a 15 year old and a 8 year old. The 2nd get Taco is not big enough but expedition is gone, so at time it’s a 2 car caravan.

I got the letters customcargrills and just used goop on it to glue them on.

the emblem is one of those cheap one you get from ebuy. mine was faded af and painted all black at first but didn't look that great so I painted red.

I used to put them on hand tight but not too tight. I know that's not really quantifiable but I had one blow the gasket out one time. Luckily, I noticed it when I stopped to get gas a couple of miles from home. I went back home and put another filter on, added a little oil to bring it back up to level and was on my way. Now, I put them on by hand, but just about as tight as I can get them. I have to use a strap wrench to get them off, but it's never a big problem. AND yes, I always oil the gasket first.

Morning all! I’m already being productive with a wash of the Taco before the sun comes up.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Finally got to replace my driveshaft after replacing all ujoints and center support bearing. A job that requires some brute force but highly rewarding when the vibration is gone. Was also getting a slight delay on takeoff that would cause the rear wheels to spin in rain.

Excellent info here on TW and Youtube for those thinking about it. Thanks to any who contributed and saved me over $1000. 138500 miles

I installed the 8-foot ARB Awning.

    By myself.

    With a broken foot.

    In a big plastic boot.

    On a ladder.

    In the rain.

    Yes, I'm stupid.

Nothing yet today but yesterday I aired up the tires, drove it to a doctor's appointment, filled up the gas tank, and then gave it a long overdue wash. Of course 2 hours later we had a thundershower that lasted about 20 minutes. I was lucky enough to have it parked under the carport so it didn't mess with all my hard work.

I've got to install a 6 foot awning on mine one of these days. I have to come up with somekind of mounting brackets because I don't have a roof rack to attach it to.
