Just a heads up, the more aggressive ATs will give that MT big lug vibration at slow speeds like a mud tire. They are balanced fine, but you'll feel it. My 285/75 Cooper AT3 XLTs do it, drives me a little crazy for a daily. My Falken Wildpeaks did it a little too. Get a close pattern AT without the big aggressive side lugs. I would look at the Goodyear Duratracs (OEM tire on TRD Offroads). Those come up on craigslist with low miles all the time.

If I was replacing now, I would consider the Bridgestone Dualer A/T Revo 3 or the Goodyear Duratracs in my size.

I hear you, but sometimes things happen. There are occasions where the stars line up against you. I don't think anyone is blaming the driver beyond the fact that they were the one behind the wheel. I had a chunk of a 2x4 jam into my sidewall a few weeks ago driving down 95. I have no idea where or how it happened. It wasn't even a pointed splinter. Just a random chunk of wood that was probably driven over by hundreds in front of me. It was just my misfortune of hitting it in the right spot with the right amount of force. As much as it sucked, it wasn't the tire's fault.

    So
I ended up getting the Cooper at3 s4 tires in the stock size. I absolutely love them. They ride so much better that the stock tires and smooth the ride out on small bumps. Not noisey and handle well. The only negative is that I destroyed one with only 600 miles on it. I don't blame the tire, but it sucks. I haven't had a tire failure in 6 years but wouldn't you know I got a piece of steel through the side wall within days of buying new tires. Considering what was discussed in the thread the irony is not lost on me.IMG_20190816_121857.jpg

    wow that's some luck indeed

I don't think too many tires out there would have stood up to that

Yup. Name any tire and someone out there has had a failure with it.

    And post #7 here:

    https://www.dieseltruckresource.com...run-maxxis-bighorn-tires-their-diesel-160436/

"I had a buddy go through a real headache with those TrXus M/T's, pulling the GN with just 2 horses in the trailer he had a sidewall blowout, if it wasn't for him driving like Mario Andretti, he would have killed those horses no doubt. I ended up having to drive out to Ohio to pick up his trailer and horses to get them back, and he had to replace a wheel, tire, and bedside (it was that torn up).

I haven't been able to wrangle one of those 2 horses back onto a trailer again, lol."

They do seem like overall very durable tires. But nothing is perfect.
