Remove an scrap/sell it double win. Removed mine love the ride with stiff springs you can barely tell it’s off. On your stockish suspension I’d leave it for sure on for DD an remove for wheeling. It’s really easy takes about 15min that’s including a beer break.

A little about my sway bar experience this weekend. I had to replace right side CV , sway bar end links were shot cut both sides off replaced CV and zip tied sway bar up. Went for a test drive, got back home both zip ties broke and sway bar ends cut BOTH outer boots off and had to replace the CV I just installed AGAIN and the one I replaced about 6 months ago. Beware the zip tie swaybar delete test LOL

Hmm... makes me wonder if the OME 885s are stiff enough for me to take the front sway bar off the truck?

I’m lifted about 3” in the front and have stock TRD Sport wheels with 285s. Don’t off-road that often but would love to eliminate the bar as a source of some annoying noise over bumps. Just don’t know if the springs will be stiff enough don’t me not to notice the additional body roll during sharper turns. Lots of curvy roads with inclines around here and I tend to do some spirited driving.

I have 885s and removed my sway bar when I installed them so I my before and after is not exactly apples to apples but I barely notice it. The place where I notice it the worst is long, sweeping curved freeway on ramps where I am doing 55+ to merge. I don’t even notice it on twisty back roads.

Ome nitrocharger and 886 with aluminum Pelfreybilt front. It rolls a little more than with swaybar. Potholes are less pronounced. 885 5100's and steel bumper was fun to drive but not safe. Felt like I could do 3 wheel turns. No matter the set up it will be more likely to roll without sway bar. I like it better without but understand the risks. I would at least recommend 886 (660#) springs.

Try it and see how you like it. Just please don’t over inflate your tires. That’s tough to undo. ;)

I’d love to get rid of the entire front of the truck shaking like mad over harsh bumps though...

Might have to take it off and just see how it feels. I bought new endlinks but don’t know if I really want to bother installing them. Especially if I can just remove the bar and still feel safe driving the truck.

I’m running 885’s and have been without the sway bar for 2+ years. I won’t be going back.

Haha, I guess the consensus is to remove it. Next time I’ve got the wheels off I guess I’ll pull it off and see how I feel about the way it rides.

I try not to tell anyone what to do or not to do with their truck, after all its yours...But,, Put a cone in a parking lot and drive towards it at say 30mph, try to get as close to it as possible before swerving around it like it was a deer or a child that just leaped in front of you,,, then ask yourself would you have lost control of your vehicle if the sway bar wasnt there? Just something to think about.

I ran it on my truck up until a few months ago. Once I switched to 700lb springs had it removed. I cant notice a difference.

You hit deer not swerve around them. That’s how people kill themselves or get hurt badly. Try to stop but keep the vehicle in a straight line to them. You swerve and go off the roadway and jerk back you’ll roll from the edge of the roadway. Been to 100’s or wrecks where they all swerve to miss the deer then I’m either cutting them out or calling the coroner.

And what if it was a kid? Run the kid over also?? I understand your point of view, but removing something that was put on your vehicle to prevent lose of control in turns or swerving situations is not an overly bright thing to do,, thats my point!

Edit: Sorry bro, the kid reference was unfair, your a professional and trying to keep us all safe. I respect the hell out of what you do everyday. It just blows my mind when people disable safety features on their vehicles, why not disable their airbags and brakes while their at it.

The first thing I did when I removed it was try swerving with it. We’re not talking about a stock vehicle here. These trucks are modified with heavier springs than stock that are compensating for it not being there. I would agree with you absolutely if someone were to try removing it on a stock vehicle. I have no issue with swerving to avoid a kid. I know my vehicle and I know how it reacts. All these tests you see are on stock vehicles.

If you have the stiffer front springs it works fine without the sway bar ) )
