I'm Kip and although I have been reading the posts and trouble shooting advice for a bit, I finally joined. I picked up a 2016 Tacoma over the 4th of July weekend and it's pretty much a very enjoyable ride. I wanted the TRD but the wife can't see my reasoning in needing a 4wd (and the price was a bit out of the agreed range). So, at the risk of losing out, I got the 2wd Tacoma but I did manage the V6 and the XP package which at the most gave me the bigger tires and running boards. I live in South Alabama. Thanks for the welcome and the posts.

Welcome! If it’s not a need for a 4x4 you’ll be fine and happy with the 2WD

Welcome to TW, 2 wheel drive should still be good and plenty of fun! especially if your mainly using on paved roads! Not like the roads get snowed on much in Alabama :p I bet there is some good mud to get yourself into though if you wanted! Congrats on the Tacoma and welcome to the forum!
