I've been looking for a cover for a while but just haven't bite the bullet yet. Too many to choose from. Does yours leak any? Is it easy to take off and reinstall? Would you be concerned about someone stealing it if parked for a while? I leave my truck at the airport for 2 weeks at a time. Thanks.

 

Also really interested in how it rides. Been looking at these for a week or two.

It's a small airport in South Louisiana. I work offshore in the Gulf of Mexico on a 14 & 14 rotation. Having my wife ride w/ me at 3am to drive the truck back home is not very practical. Plus when I land, I don't have to wait for a ride home. After being gone for 2 weeks at a time, I am ready to get home.

 

Just use a wooden toothpick to pull out the dip from within closed letters.

 

I got ya. Just sayin, a phone call when you got to the platform pad would keep your mind at ease while making all that $$$$? By the way, where do you park? LOL

 

...or get a beater just for the commute. The kind where when you get to the platform and start to think "Did I roll up the windows? It might rain.", then pause, then chuckle to yourself, like it made any difference...

Beater, great idea. You know that these ruff and tumble offshore people make great salary. that would be a good solution!

 

I'm not worried about them stealing the truck, just messing with it when I can't be around. Plus they have plenty of $70-100K trucks there for them to steal before mine. Typical oilfield guys, make some money and buy plenty of toys. Then you grow up and realize that family should come first. We fly offshore on either a S-76(Sikorsky) or a Bell 407. The airport we use has both helipads and airstrips for small jets(G6) and planes. They have a 400 car lot with cement & limestone (Free parking). I'm about 160 south of New Orleans, LA. The money is good enough but I'm gone from home about 220 days a year, but my family lives good. Here's an older picture of the TLP platform I'm on. It actually floats like a ship.

I first installed the Sprint Booster. I like the change in throttle response on Sport Mode L4. Race mode is way more response than I need. It is definitely noticable and trottle lag is for the most part completely gone.

Then I put in the Shift Sense Pro V2. Easy install even with poping the shifter console to connect the unit to the shifter connector. I like this unit on economy setting. On Default it was hanging 3rd a little longer than what I think it should be for my around town driving. Economy setting kicks 3rd in a little sooner and drives nicely. I would like it to shift 1 mile or so sooner at 3rd and 4th. Currently 3rd kicks in at 35 and 4th at 45. 5th engages at 55. I haven't hit the highway yet to see how 5th feels Only driven about 45 minutes since adding these two accessories. So far I'm liking them.
