    Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but the only thread I could find on this topic was actually on Toyota Nation. I'm trying to figure out what my alignment specs should be post-lift. I'm having my 255/85r16 Cooper ST Maxx tires installed this Saturday. Next, I will be having my lift installed consisting of Bilstein 5100's all around and an AAL in the rear. They will be set at 2.5" in front and 1" in the rear with a Wheeler's Progressive AAL. I will be utilizing stock UCAs. My buddy is a service adviser at a local Honda dealership and gets me excellent after hours rates on labor through his master tech. He's going to install my lift for cheap and do an alignment. Supposedly they have a brand new state of the art alignment machine. I have faith in the tech, as he has done great work for me before, but I'm trying to figure out what specs I should have him align my truck to. He mostly wrenches on Hondas all day, so I want to make sure I'm getting him to align my truck to the proper specs. Obviously stock specs won't work in this scenario. I saw some numbers on the aforementioned Toyota Nation thread at the link below but I wanted to get consensus from you guys. Thanks in advance!

You want to shoot for as much caster as possible. Ideal is 0 toe, 0 camber and 3+ caster, but that much caster isn't achievable with stock UCAs. Because of that, just shoot for as much as you can get, while trying to keep camber and toe at 0.

Also, I would highly recommend buying some aftermarket coils instead of keeping stock ones. OME 884 coils will get you 2.5" of lift if you leave the bilsteins at 0 and they will ride a whole lot better. They're not terribly expensive either at $175 shipped.

Thanks for the feedback. Honestly, the only reason I'm not going with new coils is in case I want a new heavier front bumper in the next year or two. I don't want to spend the money on coils now if I just have to swap them out when I get a heavier bumper. As for UCAs, I'm not debating the benefit, but it just kills me that even the cheapest Light Racing UCAs cost as much as the rest of my lift combined.

Very valid reasons! I just want you to be fully aware of your options so you can make the best educated decision on what works best for you.

So you're saying that I should be looking for 3+ caster? A few other threads I have read suggested that an "ideal" caster when running 33's would be 2.4. I had read that 3.0 was for 35's.

Everyone I've talked to that is lifted and larger tires says shoot for 3-3.5 on 33s and more for 35s. I have 3.1 on one side and 3.4 on the other with my 33s and it's great.

Like @EatSleepTacos said, it doesn't really matter what's ideal because you won't be getting any 3+ numbers with the stock UCA's.

Ask them to get you as much as possible and keep your fingers crossed he gets over 2+ out of the stock arms.

This is way old but OME 888 coils are made for new front bumper and winch combo. What did u end up going with?
