Morning all!! It felt AMAZING to be in my own bed last night!!! Woke up to a storm. I’m sitting here having coffee and watching it. I have lots to do today to get ready for surgery Tuesday. But........ later. Enjoying my peaceful morning

How about a truck-related mention?

My round trip yesterday to Philly and back was just over 400 miles.
A mix of expressway, secondary roads, and local stop-and-go.
Lots of heavy traffic. Was able to use cruise control for all of 10 minutes on one stretch.
Made it to within 10 miles of home before the low fuel light came on.
Filled it up and apparently I still had over 2.5 gallons left in the tank. (20.5 gallon capacity if I remember right).
So now I know. Hadn't taken it down so far before.
And this was the longest single-day trip yet.

Calculated the mpg and it came to 22.2.
Better than I had expected.

 

Pretty good for a 4.0...

 

I have relatives living in Naperville.
They mention from time to time that Chicago dominates the politics of the entire state.
And they ain't happy about it.

PA was once characterized as Philly and Pittsburgh with Alabama in the middle.
There's a lot of truth in that.
Most of the state is very down home and not crazy about having Philly in the same state.
Pittsburgh not so much. Two very different cities.

Dean Dean The Money Makin Machine recentlly purchased a laundry mat. Sounds kiinda boring, right? Well, that's where you would be wrong. This ain't no regular 'jeans and bedsheets' laundry mat. Hell no. Ol' Dean has decided he is going to wash money.
Here's how it works: you bring in your dirty money (this could be from drug sales, tax evasion...that part is up to you), give it to our friend Dean, and when you get your 7% back it will be as clean as a newborn pigs' ass. Mr. Dean is planning on a 93% charge for his services, which in this day an age seems to be a hell of a bargain. So grab yer loot, load up the young uns and bring that stanky money down to Dean's Wash and Wax. When you come back in a few years to pick up your cut, you'll be shittin in tall cotton.

 

@MarX How bad did you get hit by that storm last night. Hope the basement didn’t flood again. It kind of fizzled out when it got to me. River came up though so I went to the farm at 3am to start the rest of the levee pumps. Water table is crazy high this year!

 

We just found out my wife's second cousin was killed riding a bull. 23 yo.
