No we got some time. Just wanted to make sure to see opinions if someone thought a few weren’t worth the trip or the ones they thought were best. We’re going to see as many as possible. A few Sunday and some on Monday. I’m going to try and get some beer drinking and fishing in. Hopefully my Akita likes camping in a tent.

    No. Not functional.

    44609943-9372-4EC1-A841-2FAA470F20E6.jpg

My kid, a WRX nut says we can make it functional. The only function it has is a extra spot for a light bar. Yeah it’s fake, but I like it! I’ve been offered $300 and a regular off-road hood swap. One guy offered $100.00 , a regular hood ,and some bed stiffeners .

iirc it's in a terrible spot for actual air intake, laminar flow vs turbulent flow issues. There is a fiberglass hood that has a functional ram air system from the scoop to the airbox but I doubt its any better than the stock air intake area.

a stealth light bar install is pretty common, it fits a 10" bar or so. Or you could go all Knight Rider and have some red LEDs in there.

**Potentially** you could try to use it to mod a TMIC with some airflow...but right now it looks like ovtuned is going with a FMIC and I can't imagine it worth the effort to move the IC up top.

The moment you realize the DCSB might be too small? How about 12 hrs away till we head up north on our first family camping trip. Every space has stuff! Under the seats✔️. Behind the seats.✔️The glovebox emptied to become a full sized 1st Aid kit.
In the backseat will be a 120lbs drooling Akita shedding all the way. Sitting next to him will be a 14 year old with enough electronic devices to run N.O.R.A.D.!
I haven’t even got the beers in the cooler yet. E29F0873-CEB8-44F6-ADBC-1976D4E80A29.jpgStill got a few backpacks with clothes and some dog stuff. Glad the kids friend backed out at the last minute.

All this and I'm still psyched to go. Night time temps projects to be upper 50’s

Any of you guys do Instagram? It's quickly becoming my social media of choice, all you have to do is look at pictures. I'm looking for other Wisconians to follow.

Weekday camping is so much nicer. 5 or 6 spots taken.70438FAA-EB55-473F-9C04-87EF6A9CEF68.jpg No crowded fishing areas. 87A8EBBA-FA94-4396-9757-DADB7610F2E7.jpg A campfire and spotted cow beer.

56* overnight. Awesome tent weather. Who needs a air mattress? Roughing it old school. A Toyota bed mat and cardboard. That $99 spent in 2015 is still paying off.

    Lol.
Our air mattress seems not to be with the camping stuff I used 16 yrs ago. We also had 3 sleeping bags and a heavy quilt each. Actually wasn’t bad. Sometimes you make do. Lucky the giant cardboard was in the truck.
    I’m a old guy, I’m not hurting...yet!

Wisconsin is awesome. Drove past Crivitz dozens of times going to Iron Mountain, Michigan !

North of Crivitz all the way to the u.P on 141/8 you can catch some waterfalls .
    Hit 3 spots

    Dave’s falls

    Then Smalley Falls

The last one 12 foot falls.
    (they have a campground $15 a night/no electric)

18foot and 12 foot falls has camping plus a nice sandy, gravel road for miles.

The coin isn't a participation award, it's just something a member on here designed and made. Kinda more of a fun collectable coin.
I like edc style coins, they are cool little things to have. One of my tattoos is a phrase from one. The set I have is a carpe diem and carpe noctem set. With little quotes to remember to live, which to me is important because of how often we make some decisions. Working in Ski Patrol and EMS you don't always remember how dangerous life can be and it reminds me to take time to just take in the world.

We got one for doing maintenance on MQ-1 Predator drone.

Yes! Mine was a participation award.
    Lol

Our 3 boys all served. 2 wis Air Guard, and 1 Marines. Also a daughter-in-law. They all got coins. You get them for being top unit at basic or miscellaneous duty or locations. Top coin at the bar gets free drinks. There was a story of a commanding officer buying a round for a much lower ranking Airmen! Lol

Coins or not, ALL 3 KIDS returned home safely after deployments.

Oh hell no. Maybe a quad could fit under there but not a truck with a boat on the roof.

I also managed to rip my front plate partially off the truck while trying to turn around at one of these spots.
