Got a 2015 Base DCSB V6 w/ towing and TRD Off Road packages for a good deal from a inside connection at a dealership. 50k mi, certified used. IMG_20180729_033034_655.jpg
This will be a daily driver for around 1k mi/mo for work, so big lifts aren't happening (6'8" parking garages).

Started with the basics. Blacked out the emblems and the chrome grille with Plasti Dip. More to come as budget allows.

A lot has happened since my last post (mostly because I forgot I started this thread).

White Sport grille and Black gloss grille emblem (and a peek at the Wrangler UltraTerrains):

Kicker CompR 8" subwoofer (for the Pioneer MHV-2400NEX head unit):

    I think it's generally the black-on-white look.

I'm eying these to replace the badly chipped silver rims:

I've also been debating with myself whether to replace the factory chrome rear bumper with a black painted one or the black bedlined covers. The price difference is negligible. It's just my time in tearing off the Chrome and moving all the parts to a different bumper.

Good call - I think the color matched bumpers look good because of the black plastic trim - helps add an accent color.

Having some sort of Empire sticker somewhere helps with that as well :)

As it so happens, I had some money sitting in PayPal, so I spent $3 out of pocket on this (she's a little dirty):

Greased the drive line today. Noticed some corrosion I didn't recall seeing the last time I was under the truck. Decided the cheap running boards from the previous owner were starting to rust the body where the brackets attach. They're gone until I decide on a good quality replacement so the kids can still climb in.

Nice build! The best part about having a stormtrooper taco? Not hitting anything on the road LOL
