I picked up my SR5 Tacoma, RWD, V6, Ext Cab on Saturday.

    Some first impressions -

I think the Toyo tires ride better than the ones I tested with Kumhos.

I love the feel of the truck, going from a 2 DR Civic is quite the change. I'm always taking sharp parking lot turns a little wider knowing that ass end is out there.

I like the ride quality, bumps are soaked up pretty nicely. I know a Ridgeline would have been a decent option, but I know the bumps would be much harsher in a Honda.

The stereo bluetooth is driving me a little crazy since it does the typical skipping everyone complains about - I did try the suggestions of changing the settings, it didn't have much impact. I may just switch to aux cable or usb.

    Plans:
    1552 wheels
TRD pro grill w/ raptors lights (havent decided on Chinese or OEM version yet)
Rubber bed mat and possibly a bed cover that folds up.
    More aggressive tread pattern tires
    Smoked headlight film
Maybe a camping set up on the bed

Avoided a nasty situation last night coming back from the beach when a older Explorer lost control in the passing lane and hit the wired median, the trailer dismounting and throwing 2 ATVs onto I40 in Warsaw NC. Gas and debris all over the freeway. I was just the right following distance behind. I really lucked out. An angel was on my shoulder with a 2 day old truck.

Planning cross country trip to the Redwoods in October from Raleigh, then down to LA for Halloween to ride my new Haro Master :) And then back to NC.
