Is it really the same? Ama.zon is knowingly selling more & more chinese knockoff junk as the real deal.

I mean other than it being blue (which you can also purchase in red) it looks exactly the same. Been in my truck for about a year now, no issues.

I am interested in purchasing the Off Grid Engineering second battery tray for my 2015 Tacoma is bolted near the passenger side firewall.

The recommended size of battery is Group 35. Has anyone fit a one anything bigger in this location??

Was wondering if you could run the dual battery setup in split locations with a Switch Pro 9100 and blue seas fuse block connected to the aux battery (passenger side). I have an 06 with stock intake so I have tons of room over there and eventually want to supercharge and need the mounting area behind the factory fuse panel in the engine bay.

You should be able to fit everything there. On my setup I have the Switch-Pro mounted on the back of the aux tray on a small aluminum plate but that’s because most of the available space is taken up by my winch solenoid.

@chenbro thanks for the reply! Ya looking at that it looks like I’ll have enough space. Been reading through this thread and seems like the op isn’t around anymore?

anyone ever use this passenger side battery tray as single battery setup? I just want to get the battery off that front driver fender before it starts cracking.
Maybe the Camburg battery tray works with some mods?

With some careful cable management between the factory harness and the leads running to the battery, I don't see why you couldn't if you're that worried about it

Been trying to go through this thread, but I'm looking to get a separated dual battery setup that supports a solar panel and I've come across this one a few times as a possibility. I'm just wondering at $899 plus $100 for prewiring is it worth it? The Redarc is $381 currently and the dual trays total $308. That makes the precut unassembled wiring $208. Not trying to be critical, just trying to understand if I am missing something.

Also with the Redard setup is it best to move any accessories to the 2nd battery or leave them on the primary?

Also does anyone know if OffGrid would do a custom main battery tray? Ideally with the Redarc mount on the left and a blank layout on the right? Want to move the Morimoto controllers/relays there.

The fuses are $50 alone. So another $150 for the wiring and other miscellaneous bits.

Thanks for that. I did not realize they were so pricey.
