To make a long story short I went to dealer.... to resolve an issue and while I was there I brought up the conversation about... aftermarket intakes like K&N and volant.... dealer told me any aftermarket modifications would void my engine warranty! you guys know where I'm going with this.....

I've always liked the K&N/Volant style of aftermarket air intake.... I always like the way they look regardless if it gave me gains or not.

Did you ask if that was true with a TRD unit as well?

    At least you're realistic.

Order up a TRD and put that on. It does look good. Even though nothing labled TRD was actually developed in their race program.

One place to shop is BAM Wholesale. Don't know if they'll have what you want, but if they do, it will be much less than your dealer.

While at it, spring for the TRD exhaust too. 'Cause you know 'best muffer' is the next question. :D

Like always a question always comes down to if you ever have a problem with your warranty if the manufacturer wants to blame whatever you changed/aftermarket... on the reason it happened..

Hassled? No. Dislikes? No. I've gotten nothing but compliments and photos about/with my aftermarket parts:

I don’t know about that Dealer, but a lot of people run Volant & K&N, but I’ve never heard of a voided warranty. I’d check with Toyota. I run the TRD CAI which is really a K&N filter setup with no problem, including warranty.
