I'm not sure that resi location will work without cutting some sheet metal. I don't hardly remember what it looked like anymore, so I'm not sure, but there was some cutting in that area I had done previously.

I was just there and I already miss in. Unfortunately, we got there right as it started raining, it rained all night, and it was covered in clouds the next morning. Just need to go back I guess.

Thank you Tim , what I would give to have a knowledgable shock guy local to me. Sadly the East Coast is not a good spot for offroad shocks.

Do you remember my truck? I think between tubbing, fenders, front bumper, there is not much sheet metal left that I haven't cut or smashed. Shit I just had to cut one of the main supports for the bed when I realized that raising the tank two inches puts it right through one of the main x-members. But thank's for the heads up.

Is a magic spot. Seems to always rain there though. I was lucky and had mostly clear skies this last time.

Picked up a used 3.4 from @BossFoss this weekend. Going to put some valve cover gaskets on it and then drop it in.

    IMG_20190819_170852.jpg

The current plan is to do a full rebuild on the old engine this winter or whenever I feel like it.

Looks good under the valve covers, timing belt looks good too!

Timing belt looks perfect. Going to leave well enough alone there. It's a litter dirtier under the valve covers the my existing engine, but nothing too bad. :notsure:

    IMG_20190819_194615.jpg

If it runs well enough, it might take me longer to get to that rebuild than currently anticipated. :cookiemonster:

Better to not rush that process anyway. Makes it more enjoyable and less like work.

1st annual, but certainly not the last, expo fishing trip. 10 days in WY/MT. Fishing every day. 2k miles. 5 different kinds of trout landed. Many ten minute tenkara (TenTen) fishing competitions. 2 reroutes. 1 blind, shitty beer showdown. No strict schedule. All the fun with good friends. @Night Eagle @Reh5108 and a quick hello from @w.adventures

And that's as much of a trip report as I'll ever do.

Wonder what this bearing is going to look like. Some bigger ferrous pieces in the oil.
