    My son told me yesterday......

Since I have been retired, I remind him.of a high schooler on summer break......

    I'm okay with that.

Well, my wife and I spent a few hours at the Harford fair yesterday.
Had a very good pulled pork sandwich.
But I'll tell you what, the young folks, I just don't know to say. Yeah, I'm old but jeez!
Here's an example...my wife stopped at a school band stand and ordered potato pancakes and a bottle of water.
The total was $4.50. She gave the girl, about 13-14 a $20...I swear she had to ask the older woman there helping how much change to give back!!!
They didn't have a register, just a tray from a register.

    Morning Harry:hattip:
Did you ever ask a teenager to look at a good old clock with hands and tell you what the time is?? Totally clueless. Glad the Missus and you had a good day.

Not their fault gentlemen...not me personally, but my generation embraced these computers, put them in their hands, let them use calculators in school; hell they were starting to do that my last couple years in HS, IIRC. It's scary and frustrating I agree, I just don't know how or if we can turn it back or fix it. :frusty:

Any how, hope all have a good day.

Where were the parents? I mean how can a kid that age NOT know how to count the change from 20.00 for a purchase of 4.50.

Or, there is a disability that the kid had that was not noticed.

    Paul Harvey time.

They are working on the problem. It's called Apple Pay, Samsung Pay. No cash needed. Just your phone.
