local DT over wrenched my nuts! WTD

    one of their dudes wrenched one of my lugs on super uber tight during rotation couple weeks back

    had a PITA pain in rear getting it off to get drums powder coated

    are those lugs supposed to be that friggin tight that i cannot easily take off by hand??
    what the heck happen should i have a flat out in nowhere with a super tight lug???

    ??? ??? ???

    They are suppose to be Around 85 foot pounds of torque

    GQ7227, Thank you for your support!

    The torque specs should be listed on your invoice. The techs use a torque wrench set to what ever the vehicles call for when torquing them. If there is a problem I would recommend speaking to the local store Manager. Your 97 Tacoma shows as being 85

    OME 3" Lift, 32" Tires, Lots of Mods!
    Should be torqued to 87 or 89 ft/lbs. per the manual!

    thanks for the specs!
    not sure how I would know the torq when doing it by hand with the supplied wrench in the back of the cab :notsure:

    maybe the nuts are just very old and need replaced?
    i priced some new ones at ~$7 each online @ Camelback, my local dealer probably wants $15 each for them, i will check!
