I have factory size 17.7 rims and found a stupid deal on 35x12.50R17 mud tires. I was just told my wheels wouldn't hold the tires because of being too narrow, and not wide enough. Is this a true statement?? I need to know before I pay for these tires. Thanks for helping out.

3" lift on 33 inch Nitto's with 18" Fuel wheels. N-Fab step bars. Husky floor liners.
Well if you put them on your factory wheels you take a chance of while your driving hit a pot hole it can easily bust loose the bead and of course flat tire and possible crash if its on the front. Just get them and put them up till you save for some new wheels.

35x12.50R-17 tires are recommended to be installed on 7.5 to 11.50 inch wide wheels for safety reasons.

If you want the tires then buy new wheels. Those tires should not be on 7 inch wheels even though you can find someone with a machine that will mount them.
