That will work! If your wifi reaches that should work too, but if it’s spotty the solid cable should be good to go!

Whelp I wont be going insane with that explanation. Thanks @HPTuners ! Its kinda what i figured just wanted to make sure.

Yes yes, you n i shall discuss!

The only need for internet is to verify licencing, like stated, so long as you get a meh wifi signal, enough to get out to the world (hell even a hotspot on your phone works), you are good. It doesnt need to be a wired stable connection.

Thanks to all of you who have pointed me in the right direction. @JustDSM pointed out that even with this HP Tuner deleting the SAIS system I should still block off the air valve. I need two block-off plates apparently. I don’t know where they go so if someone has any pics or info of where they go I’d appreciate that. I will need to find someone that can make/sell me the plates. As I previously stated my only interest is to eliminate the SAIS system and any chance of ever going into limp-mode. I may be away from TW for the next couple of days due to a personal matter but when I return I will follow up with this thread. Thank you all again.

I’m in! I PM’d you. My personal situation was resolved sooner than I expected. I also emailed Hewitt-Tech and asked if they can sell me the block-off plates alone. If not I’ll have to find a local machine shop that can make them for me.

i feel as though you could make block off plates pretty easy out of some pieces of flat stock and eyeballing two holes drilled....

Why don’t I have a “torque model” tab in my tune? Is this something that was added in an update?

Hmmm that's weird. Maybe I need to uninstall then reinstall VCM editor? Or maybe I have to check something in settings?

Btw, I've been running your v1 tune for about two weeks now with positive results. The engine feels way more responsive and afr's are so much better with fuel enrichment coming in sooner. The accelerator pedal feels more connected and responsive, not sure if you adjusted something with that or the fuel and timing are more tuned in but it feels great! Engine seems to run better as well. Thanks again and plan to send you a data log when I can get around to it.

Very much appreciate the feedback! Thank you for sharing.

I think you might want to go to the "Edit" menu, and down to "View" and click on Advanced. That might be why you're not seeing everything.

I made these for my SAI delete. I have 4 sets left. they're 10ga cold rolled steel. $10 shipped per pair. I reused my old metal gaskets that were on there.

    So @JustDSM @loginfailed ,

where within techstream does one re-write the Vin Number to the ecu?

(admittedly, i am slightly buzzed on these new Natty light seltzers - no joke they are damn good - at the moment and the GF is distracting me with uh, things... so i couldnt get a proper good look through all the techstream that I have, which is a few years old but connected to my truck just fine)

It's actually a seperate program, it's not within Techstream proper. TIS has a separate program (VIN Update Wizard) you'll have to download to change the VIN. It's super quick/easy (unlike Techstream)

If you go back to TIS, go back to where you downloaded CUW and you should see the VIN Update Wizard download.
