What Battery Are You Using?

My Tacoma has a Super Start battery and a quick search shows it is an O’reilly brand? It’s the battery that was in the truck when I bought it and seems to be working fine. I have used my winch and auxiliary lights with it and no problems. Also I drive the truck at least once a week just to keep it charged since it’s not my daily. When it goes out I’ll probably get an Interstate one from Costco. However the sticker on the battery has a date of 2017 so hopefully it doesn’t go out anytime soon.

When my battery in my commuter was going out I switched it with a Costco Interstate and it’s been working fine.

I had a Lexus that has an Optima yellow top. It died within two years and I was able to get a replacement through Autozone where I bought it. It was a quick swap on site when the battery tested bad. I don’t remember exactly when I changed it out (4+ years ago?) but I can say it’s still in the Lexus now with the new owner.

Maybe I wasn’t using those batteries to their full potential, or maybe it’s just a placebo effect, but I think most of the batteries out there will work just the same. Get what you can afford but you don’t need to go overboard. Top brand or not, everyone company makes a defective product here and there.
