Right!!! I am the same way. Now that the kiddo sits up front we listen to some stuff I have no clue what it is and she cranks it up. I get some weird looks from people because it's definitely girly.
All toyota factory speakers are junk even the JBL ones are paper just like the ones in Brian's video just a little bigger magnet and a little better sound.

If that happens I'm selling the truck. :D I'm back and forth about covering the holes with sound deadener or some thick painter's plastic. The audio system I'll end up with isn't going to be super high end where that kind of extra seal will make that much of an acoustic difference. I might just end up using the sound deadener simply because I have a ton of it left and if I ever need to get into the door to fix anything I'll just cut out the hole and reseal later.

The stinger fast rings or something similar will make a big difference even for what you have

Yeah I'm looking at those as well but they are pretty expensive just for precut foam. For the front 6x9 and rear 6.5 speakers the kits would be around $40.

Used a UV dye kit and blacklight to see if my oil leak has returned. Big thanks to @NunyaBizness for providing the outro pic!

Really hating not having a garage on days like today when it's constantly raining and I have a new part that just arrived that is itching to get installed.

Boogie I picked up a couple of the rotopax you have linked in your build and wanted to ask how the weather stripping you did in your video was holding up?

Weather stripping doing great and still keeping everything inside bone dry. Must have for the black rotopax boxes.

    Rollin' hydrocarbons!

Save measurements for this! I want to do something similar, but it's low on the list right now. I looked into doing it in aluminum, but the materials cost is a little silly.

I went with the Pioneer AVH-4200. It's a nice headunit. And not too expensive. It's when you start adding the Maestro module, and SiriusXM box is when it gets expensive. I don't know what plugs the 2nd gens have in them, but I was able to replace the cigarette light plug with an HDMI and USB port, and keep the stock 3.5mm AUX plug and USB that the truck came with. There were also a few more adapters: one for the radio antenna, one for the GPS and SAT antenna. It all looks stock and stuff.
