We have to get at least one of these per day. I think it’s some kind of site rule...

Pretty average. Keep it under 2000 rpm and you'll get better mileage.

keep it at 60-65mph.. its painful but the few times Ive done it Ive had pretty good mpgs.. 70+mph and the loss in mpg difference is substantial.

I live in the southwest. I’d rather pay a few extra bucks for gas and actually get where I’m going before my next birthday...

It's simply because N. Nv doesn't want vegas people up this way, so your truck is encouraging you to just turn around and go back home...:D

Get on a bike. Hold a 4x8 sheet of plywood. Pedal into the wind. Uphill.

    Feel the burn.

As long as you know and aren't blaming the truck for lower MPGs, then it is no big deal.

I never do unlike some of the people we get here. It’s a truck. I knew what I was getting going in. I’ve actually stated before that compared to my Tundra - which I drove for over eleven years - it’s a god damned Prius.

Yeah, maybe. It was just an experiment to see how far I could stretch the fuel since I wasn't in any hurry.
There are a few articles though that explain how driving faster doesn't really reduce your time.. at least not as much as people think it does.
So between 60 and 70mph, once you account for traffic and other road delays we wouldn't be too far from each others arrival time.

I’ve read about that and it’s true over short to moderate distances and in the city.

Same here, except that this is my first truck. I was hoping for, but not planning on, 19 average. I have been pleasantly surprised, esp after the TSB and OVT tunes. The mileage and driveability took leaps each time.

they also have 17" rims more rotating mass... and no locker (less mass)... this can mean better mpg at highway speeds...

and i believe the sport also has the lower front air dam.. that at under 65mph equates to about 1MPG...
