I see nothing odd about it. 2wd 4 bangers are an odd sale and need the right buyer. If it's what you need I see nothing negative on it and it actually has a decent dealer service history

It's an SR5 PreRunner 2.7 manual. Nothing particularly unusual about it.

Throw a new shift knob on it and peel off that god-awful black paint someone sprayed on a perfectly good set of stock wheels and drive it

    Besides
Besides it being 2WD and a 4cyl, I would also have concerns of any untreated frame rust due to it being initially located in WA the first few years of ownership.

Get a 6 cyl. You don’t want people passing you on entrance ramps to freeways.

I will bet the door speakers are blown and the radio comes on when the dashboard gets hot.

Is it really that bad? I had an 04 4runner for 10 years and loved it... it was a v6 but I felt I never really used it to it's full potential. Towed once when I moved across states. On the 4runner forum it was always the v8 bashing the v6 about how puny it is. But I never felt the v6 was puny...

My dad had a 95 taco and it just died in my brothers hands with 300k miles and tbh they didn't take care of it at all... pretty sure it was 4 cyl tho.

But the more I have been searching here about 4cyl vs v6 I am learning more towards a v6. If I can find a MT DCSB I'd be golden.

    I know I dont need 4wd.

The search continues. I have a month left before I am without a vehicle.

Back then the 6 had worse mpg but a mild bump in power. Today’s 3rd is a no brainer the combined mpg is identical between 4 and 6 but the 6 has 119hp more so with same mpg, the 4 makes no sense.

Here we are talking about 3mpg the difference about 75 hp which is still a lot but you will save on gas with the 4. But like ppl have said if your hauling stuff the 4 can feel underpowered.

If your looking for economical and reliable grab it. You’d be hard to find those low miles on the street
