I’m getting an auto echo for my Taco Monday. This will be focused on Alexa vs Entune since wireless CarPlay is so expensive and reviews have not been impressive. Is there anyone out there with the auto echo? If so, how does it fair?

I have it. Not a fan of it yet. It's my first Alexa device. It's neat but the few things I've asked it to do, it's done stupidly. Main thing I'd want to do is play/resume music/podcasts, but I use Google Music and Alexa doesn't work with that.

I use Apple Music which seems to be on point except skip song. Alexa asks, “what would you like to here”? The next D song Alexa. Also... contacts is an issue. The only contacts in my list are ppl who use Alexa app. So, I have to tell Alexa to dial a number that I may or may not know. I’m liking it vs entune though.

I used the Entune voice suite twice. Both times I tried to get it to do something simple and both times it did something completely wrong. Don't care for it.

I use Android and it has no issue with my contacts.

I’m with U there... Entune has not been my choice. I’m hoping this Echo Auto can stop me from purchasing an expensive wireless CarPlay head unit.

I still hate Entune and want to go aftermarket. The gracenote album artwork is terrible and I've heard even a new head unit can drastically improve sound performance with stock (non-JBL) speakers.

I’m leaning towards another head unit as well. I was hoping this Auto Echo would change my mind towards an expensive wireless CarPlay system but it is falling short.
