    Good morning everybody. :wave:

    Fair tip: Chocolate dipped bacon is a delicious fair snack. BIL made me try it 4 yrs ago. Not too filling like fried dough snacks. Satisfies sweet craving and super rich so you won't want too much. 1 strip on a stick does the trick. I introduced my buddy Jake to it yesterday and he agreed, "it has a salted caramel like flavor."

    If you haven't tried it, do so if you have the chance. :drool:

    Morning all. Took 4 cans of off road diesel over to the cabin yesterday, did not mow. Sinuses were kicking my tail, so took a day off from it. Kind of nice to just ride around in the gator and appreciate.... well everything! My stress level is in the negative numbers @ this point. Old timer @ work years ago told me Friday is appreciation day. You stand around and appreciate all of the work you did the last 4 days! Happy Friday!

    Oh yeah, fried peanut taters with bacon ranch dip are always a favorite. Jake and I with 1st snack of the fair.

    PRO-TIP: park at yellow gate by livestock barn...you get to taters quickest. ;)

    @MoneyMan55 Still looking for tires?
    I just saw an ad for Goodyear, buy 3, get 1 fee, use their credit card and get $120.00 rebate.

    One main purchase I wanted to make at Fair this year was a good knife sharpening system that was simple to use and packable for the field, yet versatile for multiple applications (hatchet/scissors/chisels/etc) in addition to knives. Settled on the Spyderco "TRI-ANGLE SHARPMAKER."

    :pccoffee: Good morning. Got a bad case of the don't give a chits today.

    I'll second that, tis good stuff. Heritage pork vendor at the farmers market in town sells it but he sells out fast. As a back up there is another stall down from him that sells deep fat fried Twinkies on a stick. Great, now thinking I need to go the farmers market in the morning :cool:

    Over the years have tried all types sharpeners but end up going back to a stone which is what I grew up with. Hope that one works out for you Rob!

    Over on a 16 gauge site we are putting together a group buy for a Case Trapper Sportsman. Not that I need another knife, especially a $100 one. The trapper would not be my first choice but it is what it is. Still undecided on which game scene to get they don't have a grouse to pick from :pout:

    [IMG]

    But at least the backside logo looks like it will be the one I want, B.1
    [IMG]
    However in the poll for the swipe black instead of purple is winning. Bunch of silly old goats, 16 ga. anything should be purple. Cause purple shells.
