I actually used this cable and I used the disc that it come with to install techstream.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078VKM1G3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_j5y0Cb5NJWRDH
It came with an older version of techstream and an older version of the driver for the cable. That's why it was tricky to install. The cable and software came from that OBII site, so they have the most updated versions.

I wonder if you can swap the ECU for a 2016-17 may disable the TCC function. It might be a good options as well!

Idk, that seems a little more intrusive. The techstream option was literally just sliding one bar to yes instead of no.

What version of windows do you have on your computer? I’ve read that it can only install on to windows 7 but I’m not sure. Did you have to update the software after you installed it? On the instructions it says that Techstream 13.10.019 or later is required. That one from Amazon is version 12.20.024

I installed it on a win7 machine and it was techstream 12.something. I did not update anything.

Okay, I just confirmed that I also have win7. So to change the setting you have the cable plugged into the truck and then into the laptop while the truck is running?

I’m not sure if my laptop will take that mini cd to download the software. I have never tried to use a mini cd on it before.

It should take it with no problem, mine actually came with a regular disc though. If you have trouble with it, just download techstream from that OBDII site. Once techstream is installed, with the truck off, plug the cable in. Then turn on just the accessories, dont actually start the engine all the way. Then techstream should connect.

Yea, no worries man. I searched forever for a solution. Most threads on this issue end up with people getting flamed for wanting to get rid of the sensor.

So after a couple of hours I finally got it to work. The hardest part was installing the driver software to where techstream could recognize it.

I now have my pcs sensor disabled, I also turned off the seatbelt buzzer and adjusted the turn signal blinks while I was in there.

Nice! Good job! Yea the driver was the only thing that was a little tricky for me, but once you get that it's pretty straight forward.

Question; if one has a obdII cable with a USB plug on one end, and the obdII port plug on the other, is there a difference between one and the other cable? I got one that was "for" an Audi, but I figured that a "cable was a cable". I did NOT have any software specifically for Toyota at the time, although I did just download the software from the link you provided. I have not tried using it with the cable I have yet, as I just downloaded the software. Just wondering though, if there IS a difference with the cables, all other things being equal?
