HELP CAN I I SWAP A 08 TACOMA FOR A 05 WITH 89K MILES

    Hi my name is Aaron what I'm looking to do is I have a blown head gasket on my 2008 Tacoma truck so what I'm asking is I know someone with a 2005 Toyota Tacoma engine it has 89000 K miles on it so my question is can I swap out my blown head gasket 2008 engine for the 05 engine is there a difference from what I understand the mechanics are telling me that the 05 engine fits perfectly inside an old Tacoma can anyone help me with that

    The 05/06 were apparently more prone to the headgasket issues not so sure that year would be a good swap. If you are in the Early stage of discovering the issue and don’t have any internal damage from the antifreeze mixing with the oil I would consider having the head gaskets replaced you’ll probably a better result.
