"According to the Magnuson-Moss Act, a vehicle manufacturer cannot automatically cancel your warranty just because you’ve installed aftermarket car parts. This is an illegal practice. That said, if your aftermarket part somehow causes or contributes to a failure in your vehicle, the dealer may be able to deny your warranty claim—as long as they can prove the connection. In these cases, the burden of proof is entirely on the dealership."

Not entirely true. I bought a tacoma and I want everyone to know what it is. All tacoma owners know exactly what truck it is but to the avg person I wanna show it off. But mostly just because I think it looks smoooooth. Tacoma is a really good name for a car. In the end its the owner of the truck to decide.

They come with 3M tape on the back. I used masking tape to mark where the stock emblems were before I removed them (one long piece along the bottom, and one vertical piece at the end toward the front of the truck).

Nice truck. I plasti dipped mine 3.5 years ago when new and they have held up great. I now have 30K miles on it. Just get a can and some toothpicks. Apply at least 4-5 coats. The more coats the easier it is to peal off the extra.

It was my first time dipping and it was not hard at all. The plasti-dip cuts itself naturally along all the lines as you pull it. The truck has never been garage-kept and I have had it car-washed (touch and touch-less) and pressure washed and have not had a problem.

The truck is dirty now so it shows in the photo.

$5 can of Plasti-dip here, and still looks great after 2 harsh winters
