    I didn't say "cheaper" lol

Sourcing ALL the parts is pretty much the hardest part about this swap anyway.

If I had to do it again, I would save up $3,000 and buy a parts truck off Copart. I get all the parts I need, plus I can make all my money back and even a profit by parting it out. Essentially you pay yourself for converting your truck.

I mean really, even $3k for converting a lame truck to an awesome truck is a pretty good deal.

What year donor truck should I look for parts from? I need: tranny output shaft, front diff, manual hubs, etc.

You’d need a 1995-2000 parts truck. Manual Hubs were discontinued in 2000.

You also need a lot more parts than that, by the way.

Again, I’d have to advise against doing the output shaft by yourself unless you’re extremely mechanically inclined. It isn’t something I would do.
