Yes, the clutch pedal must be to the floor for it to start.

If it's not starting check your basics of fire, fuel, air, and time. If it starts with your starting fluid that leads me to lean towards fuel or air...fire(spark) and time are probably ok.

Check for the fuses/relay for the fuel pump.

It shouldn't have a traditional filter.

I would start with the easy stuff.
Like the AM2, EFI, and IGN Fuses.

    If good, then check:
The Fuel Pump Relay and Circuit Opening Relay.

    If good, then check
    Fuel pressure

    If good, then check
    fuel pump resistor

    If good, then check
    power to injectors

    If good, then check
    ECM

Do you have a 2.7 or 4.0 engine?

The 2.7 uses the C/ Open Relay as the relay for the Fuel Pump.
    I doesn’t have a Fuel Pump Relay.

It’s likely your fuel pump, if you had 0 psi.
There is a small chance you have wiring issue. But I really don’t think that is the case.
You could see if you have power @ the Fuel Pump?
But that maybe easier said than done.

To point out to you that there are countless threads here that deal with no-start conditions. You will find the same responses in many, but if you're diligent enough to explore them, you'll find a more comprehensive list of areas to consider.

You may have explored all threads here with "no start" in the title, but I doubt it. Many newcomers like yourself often times fail to do so.

You might get lucky and receive a "silver bullet" answer to your post in this thread, but it might help to also explore existing information on the subject.

That...was the purpose of my response.

Before you do anything else, put a few gallons of gas in the tank. Just to be sure the pump is getting gas.

Filter is in the tank mounted on the pump.
