Thanks to everyones advice and suggestions I had an amazing weekend road tripping to bend. I took hwy 224 all the way through the cascades. I stopped off at Olallie Lake first but was little turned around on the trail and ended up getting lost. About 30 minutes later I had found my way and was treated with an amazing view of the lake

After that it was back on the road and heading to the second stop. A logging road that I heard had promising views. Unfortunately the clouds had rolled in and had blocked our view of Mt Jefferson. But it was still an amazing 360 view of the mountains and you could see Mt Hood off in the distance

    It was dead...

Fast Forward to Saturday. We were staying in Sunriver for the weekend and wanted to do alittle exploring out there. So I did some quick googling and found Edison butte OHV area about 10 minutes from our rental. DSC_0296.jpg
Drove up to the Sheridan Mtn. Shelter via some logging routes. did some more exploring for another 2 hours before heading back. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Really made the whole trip that much more memorable.
