I've tried to keep up with this thread and waiting for the latest version of all the different parts before I order, but now have a question. Can I order the complete kit for both parts (BnL & Open) and use just the cubby switch with it (for the opener) rather than the 3x remote part. I completely understand the convenience of the DSIM part, but I don't think I'll end up using it, just like I never use the remote start that I installed - Thanks if anyone can answer this - Bill in MA

 

I’m 100% you can.

 

My module handles both 3x unlock and push button switch functionality. The b-harness will enable the push button with interlocks mentioned on my thread and site.

No problem. For my solution you would need module and Bharness addition when released (few weeks out).

You could run a relay to your switch to do this if you dont want 3x unlock. But you wont have any of the safety interlocks. Module has all of that (3x unlock, push button capability, and safety interlocks) in one nice small neat form factor.

Yes you can do that with the understanding that it will still be able to UNLOCK via the DOOR UNLOCK SWITCHES. You can deactivate the auto lock and Auto Unlock when you shift out of Park and into Park through the Head-unit. That wouldn’t be an issue or concern anymore. The only concern would be if you have someone that would hit the Unlock Switch. However, this is the wire diagram that you would need to follow in order to make it work without the Module and just with the Tailgate Opener Complete Full Package for $150 (plus Shipping Fee $12.80) and then the CH4x4 Custom Toyota Small Momentary Tailgate Push Button Switch for $24.98.

TOTAL PACKAGE: $187.78
