Any suggestions for a cold air intake on a ‘14 Taco? K&N? TRD? Airaid?

I got the k&n CAI on my 4.0. I don't really notice any difference except the sound it makes at high rpm but I have no complaints. I got mine as a gift but I don't think I would have bought it personally.

Eh just snorkel it if you want actual cold air coming in. If not, just keep it stock since our stock intake is technically a CAI.

I really hate to hijack but what kind of snorkel are all the cool kids using?

K and N gives the sound a good kick in the higher RPMs with a flowmaster muffler.

Got this idea from another member. Half the price, sounds stock and gas remained the same.

Well apart from the extra oomph sound at higher RPMs. Power-wise yeah it doesn't do anything

Ram air doesn't do much. Instead of increased air pressure the air flows around the intake like a toilet backing up. Passive forced induction ain't happenin at speeds attainable by a taco, you need to mechanically force more air in. The wheel well already is a CAI.

It's just a noise maker. But if you must. Go with a dry filtered boxed intake like an afe or volant

Here in Arizona the factory "CAI" sucks hot air right off the pavement. Normally shows a temp at the intake air sensor of at least ambient plus 7 degrees. Also is in close proximity to surface road dust. One of the most invasive hydraulic system contaminants is labeled "Arizona road dust". Snorkel might just be the best compromise.
