Here recently my truck if it sits for more then a hour or so and the transmission has time to cool down it is hard to put into gear or can’t get it into a gear until you are driving and the transmission warms up. Once the transmission warms up it shifts perfectly. It is a 2007 Toyota Tacoma 6-speed manual. Any help appreciated, thank you

I’m pretty sure that’s normal for any vehicle. Usually for me personally it is hard to put it in first until the tranny warms up and then it smooths out.

I would do an oil change.

Does it grind if you try reverse? The hyd system for the clutch gets it's fluid from the brake master cylinder it is above the critical level of brake fluid so you would not lose brakes from lack of fluid just the clutch hyd.

It don’t grind it acts like the clutch is not pushed in. so it won’t go in gear or if it’s in a gear it hard to shift into another gear until the transmission is warmed up. I checked the fluid it is full.

I'd try changing the transmission fluid first. Lot's of folks here use Redline MT-90.
I switched to Lucas a while back and that smoothed things out. Later, I switched to Royal Purple and it was even better. I'm not one to buy into the whole snake oil thing, but I have to admit, the Royal Purple really was an improvement over the stock fluid.

I like the GM comment it however does not stop at the day time lights if you have ever put a headlight in a modern GM truck you would know why it has not been repaired!

I would change the trans fluid. It’s like a 5 minute job on the MT

Try bleeding the clutch line, or look at the slave cylinder. Sounds like you're not getting full release when you press the clutch pedal until the fluid gets warm. Either you have air in the line or the slave is going bad.

I once put thicker gear oil in ‘94 pickup with an M/T and it began doing exactly what yours is. I drained it and went back to the recommended weight and it went back to shifting smoothly. I left the heavier oil in the diffs.

I think it’s a synchronizer issue. It’s always easier to get into a gear when the engine is going the proper rpm for the speed and gear selection. I’m first, a lot of the time you can’t do that because you’re not moving. I think that’s why it’s most obvious in first. Fresh oil of the proper viscosity will help the synchros do their job. It is of course possible that one or more synchros is wearing out, but that usually involves an awful lot of miles.
