It's been awhile, but I'm back in a Taco after a 7 year hiatus. I just picked up 2019 Quicksand TRD Offroad DCLB 4x4 w/tech package and all weather mats yesterday.

I shopped around quite a bit, and ended up getting a crazy deal from Hendrick Toyota of North Charleston in South Carolina. If anyone is looking for an awesome out of state deal, call them and ask for Danny Marflake.

Two days ago, I called and told him I wanted $7k off MSRP and $21000 for my trade (2017 CX-5) - for the truck itself, this ended up being $34800 out the door with tax, tag, title, with a sticker price just over $40,000. He called me right back and locked it in with no BS, and I went and picked up the truck yesterday morning. Easiest deal I've ever done and everyone at the dealership was great to deal with. He said they're trying to be very aggressive with pricing this month, especially with the 2020s coming out soon. I spoke to about a dozen other dealerships within a 200 mile radius and no one could come anywhere close to this pricing.

I'm really happy with how this truck drives so far. I have some Smittybilt nerf bars, vent shades, and some black letters for the tailgate on the way. Going to remove the side "Tacoma" badges and give it a full detail / ceramic coating here shortly. And since no thread is complete without some photos...

Greatest colour out there, until that nice Army green model comes out!

I went through the same thing, when I bought my '17, as the '18's were coming out. Saved $4k.

Congrats. I just bought a Pro and didn’t even think about the new year cars coming out soon.

Looks like you did it right. Truck and pricing.

Congrats! I don’t think I even saw a long bed at the dealer when I got mine. I’m happy with the short bed with bed extender for hauling longer stuff.

My brother lives in Charleston BTW. Love that city, but the humidity...yowza...

That's what everyone told me about that place. This was the only time I'd been there...I lived in FL for the last 17 years and just moved to the Charlotte area.
