Quick trip to get above the heat for a night.

 

It doesn't suck here. Solitude just outside of town.

 

Had a few minutes to work through pics this evening. Here are the Death Valley day 2 pics from the morning...we headed up to Inyo Mine after breaking camp so I have a bunch of pics from there and the rest of day 2 that I'll add later.

Still some more to go through....one of the trip highlights was the tax funded wake up call the next morning

 

Cheaper than a DUI so it has paid for itself now.

Going to wrap the lid on the x-cover...just need to decide on the color. Leaning toward the digital camo on the RTT lid then the grey on top or the truck and leer cap.

We were about a week to late for the peak fall colors but it was still good to get out with the family. My daughter giggles every time we are cruising on a bumpy dirt road and she really gets the belly laughs going when we are off camber.

 

After spending a few months back on the infusion train (10 rounds since September...guess that's more than a few months) it was time for some truck love. Finally had a chance to get the retention pin welded back onto my swingout and ordered some TC bed stiffeners. My little shits were excited too...tried to run off with the goods when I was snapping a pic.

 

Got some bad news Friday. Looks like the cancer is back. There's a mass on my bladder and it is not bladder cancer. It hasn't penetrated my bladder, just growing on the outside of it which is consistent with appendix cancer. Ugh.

Oh man, really sorry to hear that Zack, hope it works out the best that it can.
And I appreciated those Brewskies you dropped for me on Friday, they were enjoyed sitting at camp in DV, still got a couple left to enjoy after work this week.

 

Glad you enjoyed the beverages @RelentlessFab and thanks again for your help with the truck.

I'm looking forward to a little DV time in a month or so. Until then I have a list of maintenance items and a couple more mods I'm hoping to get sorted on the truck so I better get busy.

 

Back to the build....I'll be making my debut as a (w)rapper very soon. Here's a teaser of my upcoming release.
