You will need to give us some more info, what radio is you have? there are 3 versions. small screen, bigger screen thats glossy and big screen thats glossy that also says JBL at the bottom.

Is the noise during fm, am, xm, usb, aux in, gps, cd?

Does it matter the volume you have? does it do it when you hit bumps or just randomly.

I have the entune premium non jbl in mine and oddly enough I get that weird popping noise. It doesn’t happen often, but it happens on regular fm radio, xm and Bluetooth. It has happened enough for me to notice it, but not often enough for me to think anything of it until you posted up. It’s probably been a few months since it’s happened to me, and it’s my DD. But yes I do have the same thing occur, just not sure exactly what it is.

Edit: I also swapped out the stock speakers for all kicker speakers. Still noticed it after the upgrade, but it rarely happens. When it does it will do it a number of times until I’m done driving. Next day I don’t hear it anymore.

Think it's a ground problem but who knows. Disaster that the Toyota people will probably never make right

Have a loud popping noice which lasts a second. This happens intermittently. Some days only once others 5 or 6 times. Of course it wouldn't happen at the dealership when I took it in.

Intermittent pop/crackle? My first guess is that it's a short/loose wire. If you can't spot it by checking the obvious places (connectors and whatnot), then send her to the dealer.

Thx for the reply good advice. However taking it to a Toyota dealership is out of the question. These people are criminal and just flat out dishonest. Just another big reason not to ever buy another one.

More likely an electrolytic capacitor on the amplifier board failed due to heat. They're rated for 105C, but it's not hard to exceed that, cranking the volume on a hot day.
