    Original post:

I'm building a camera crane truck with a 2015 Tacoma TRD Off Road DCSB as the host vehicle. The crane allows for full 360° rotation as well as 90° tilt up/down. Just completed the first road test this past weekend and am happy with the performance. Thought you guys might like to see it.

Very cool! You might get slightly more stability by installing the stiffer TRD sport sway bar.

That would be perfect for trolling some long canals with a road next to it.

I should have been more specific. What are you filming? It looks like a professional set up!

SCS F5 wheels with Michelin LTX A/T2 tires are now on the truck. I was impressed with the concentricity and balance of the F5 wheels (checked before mounting the tires), though I really wish it was designed with a hubcap.

I also installed front and rear Hellwig sway bars to help control the higher center of mass.

Finally got a chance to test it out at the track. I need to make a few changes to the electro-hydraulic control system, but it was still a very successful (and fun) day.

    Very nice!

Can we see the bed of the truck and how the black frame attaches to it?
