I need help. Trying to figure out what back spacing I need to prevent rubbing before I order new tires and wheels. My 2013 Tacoma 4X4 TRD double cab with 5ft bed has a 3" rough country lift on it (which I plan to drop to 2" due to too much CV axle angle). I am currently running Hancook 265/70/R17 113T's on OEM rims (17x7.5 +30). 6 lug x 5.5 BCD. There is minor rub on the driver side inner tire. I plan on moving to a Nitto 285/70/R17 with Ultra Motorsports wheels. I'm not sure what backspacing I would need to prevent rubbing the UCA's or other suspension components. Can you please let me know what the proper backspacing is to prevent wearing out a new set of tires before I order a set of aftermarket wheels? The technician at Ultra Motor Sports told me that a 17x9 with a +12 offset (which is 5.5" backspace) would work best. I found someone running Fuel Maverick wheels (17x9 -12) with BF Goodrich All terrain TA's 32"x11.5" (290/65/R17) with 2" leveling kit and no rubbing. Big difference between what the Ultra Motor Sports guy told me (+12) vs what the other guy is running (-12),

With 2” lift, I don’t believe the 285/70/17 will fit. I run that tire with 3” on. 17x8.5 -10 wheel. You back space imo needs to be 4.5-5 at 5.5 probably have rubbing issues on the uca .
