Anyone else annoyed by glare coming from the concave portion of hood that is closest to the windshield?
    Perhaps a matte finish decal?

I get the glare after every time I wash the truck. I just live with it.

I likely could also but the few couple times a year migraines I get are often triggered by a bright light.

Wait, I thought the glare was only from the sport hood scoop.

Unless you put some black vinyl on the hood you better learn how to live with it. 2nd gens are the same.

I have had glare a few times, my comment was in reference to the many folks who trash talk sports versus off roads

I have a scoop and never had an issue with glare after 3 1/2 years. Also, I do wear polarized prescription sunglasses which might factor into that.

I don't have a problem but I'm a tall 5'8". The vinyl idea sounds like a winner if the sun is aligned with your eyeball differently.

Get the glare in the morning when the sun is low. I might have to put some 3M on there...or just scratch up the hood with sand paper...

Stop washing and waxing it, its a truck and dirt works best as a glare and stare killer!

The black hood decal really helps with sun glare

I took sandpaper to the first couple of inches of the hood, then got out the flat black paint.
Here's my hood as viewed from the driver-side pillar:

My truck doesn't have 500 miles on it yet, but I've already had to repaint the hood!

It pretty easy once you get the hang of it leave your start point long at minimum 3 inches. I free handed mine and it looks oem.

Seems some pretty drastic remedies for such a minor annoyance.
