Drives like new! Damn, this truck has much more lower end torque than my 3rd gen! And the seats are very comfortable compared to the seats in my 3rd gen as well.

If that’s going to be the case (possible free swag) I was mildly offended by all the messages.

I didn't realize just how bad my clutch was, until I picked it up today. It felt like I was driving a brand new truck! Still needs new brakes/rotors. After that, it will be good to go. My 4th Toyota truck to break 300K miles.

Had something similar happen on a road I travel daily (Hwy 29) about a year ago. Chevy Trailblazer entangled in power lines. No driver anywhere. Vehicle actually went thru one power pole. Never saw anything in the paper or online about it. Funny side story, I see the deputy that arrived on scene all the time and it's usually for a ridiculous call. He said we gotta stop seeing each other. Haha! He's the one that responded to the crazy lady that drove thru our fence.

What are people thinking when they leave the scene of an accident like this or in Scotty's case? I mean, do they think that nobody is gonna find out who they are? Unless they stole the vehicle, it's pretty dumb to run from something like this and I'm sure the consequences would be greater when they do get caught.

Oh yeah definitely makes it worse for them. IF the vehicle is stolen, then that's 2 felonies instead of one. Leaving the scene of an accident is a felony I believe. Just a dumb, really dumb idea to leave the scene, no matter your reasoning behind it. This particular accident closed hwy 29 for at least 5 hours until they got a new pole up and lines off the road. Ridiculous.

The crazy thing is, this is a busy highway. How did nobody see who was driving? It had to happen just a few minutes before I pulled up. I'm guessing it was a stupid kid, under the age of 18 and that's why nothing was ever reported in the paper. :notsure:

My parents live on the Coosa River and at the very end of their road. Last year, some drunk kid must have taken a wrong turn and ended up driving down their road, all the way across my parents' front yard and into the river. Luckily it was winter and they had dropped the water level, so it shot out about 50-60 feet into the water, which leads me to believe he was travelling at least 50-60 miles an hour. If it was summer, the water would have been 5-6ft deep and that kid would have drowned. My mom said he was in shorts and no shirt, so she brought him a blanket, while my dad held him at gunpoint until Rainbow City cops showed up. They cuffed him and took him to jail and his parents had to pay for re-landscaping for the tow truck tearing up the front yard, to pull his vehicle out of the river.

It's scary to know that my kids drive on the same roads as some of these idiots...

Ok so leaving the scene, where no one is injured is a Class A misdemeanor.

Leaving the scene, where injuries or fatalities occur is a Class C felony

obviously what you guys have discussed is absolutely possible, I think it could also be DUI/drugs whatever and the person thought maybe I can claim it as stolen later and I won't get in trouble. just a thought of mine. I have found zero information on the car in my neighborhood.

I'm thinking a picnic table with storage and an umbrella for my little ginger headed nephew haha
