Four more weeks (at least) in the boot, but I'm doing OK. It didn't stop me from installing that ARB Awning by myself. Also, I rented me a little electric scooter to get around on when I'm at work. It gets me from the train station to my building faster than I could walk normally.

 

New hitch cover. Since I have a Black & White motif, I call my Tacoma the Panda.

 

Any 6speed guys in here? Looking to get a little more “fun” out of my manual trans. Wanted to know if anyone’s running a short throw, pedal Commander or upgraded clutch/flywheels. Thanks for any help!

 

Not sure how much this will help yea.

But a few jeepers are running a centerforce clutch. They claim with the heavier weight, rpms stay up a little longer.

Not to sure about any truth in that. Although, if I still have mine (JKU) and the clutch goes. I might do the CF for shits and giggles over the stock replacement. Yeah, it’ll cost more, but i’m only going in one time.

Did not check to see if they had anything for the taco or not.

B&M shifters, doesn’t have anything for the taco. But do for Honda and Nissan.

URD apparently has both a clutch and short throw. Maybe even a flywheel too.

I can Personally vouch for several of you guys and your work. I wouldn’t take my truck to any of the places around here if it is bolt on.

Here's my day. Cleaned the Tundra (aka Queen Elizabeth's Revenge). It's been way too long since its last. It looks pretty good for its 287,000+ miles on its clock

 

I'd love to have the Six Speed, but my Taco is my daily driver and where I live I am constantly driving in Stop and Go Stop and Go Stop and Go traffic. Working a clutch gets real old real fast. So in my situation, I prefer the Auto.

 

That boot wouldn't help....

And speaking of Das Boot, I picked me up some new wheels. This thing is really cool. It folds down to the size of a suitcase, and is still light enough that, even with my bum foot, I can pick it up and stick in the back of the truck.

 

URD and Core shifters are the only short shifters that I'm aware of. I have the URD kit on my 4cyl, and the v6 kit is similarly designed. The v6 has a known issue where the end of the shift lever can break off with the short throw. It's just an inherent weakness in the Toyota v6 lever design.

I think @Salty_Dog is running a pedal commander if I'm not mistaken.

If your stock clutch isn't slipping and you aren't running a bunch of power mods, you aren't getting anything out of upgrading your clutch/flywheel.
