    Hey guys,

First post here. Picked up my '16 TRD OR DC two weeks ago. Have been lost in TacomaWorld and it's been great. My TRD has 70k miles and the suspension could use an upgrade.

Instead of shelling out $1500+, I found a full '15 suspension setup that was removed at 500 miles.

I have read that '15 suspension will fit '16, but also read that '15's are a bit lower in the front.

Can I swap the coil from the '16 suspension to the '15 suspension and maintain stock height?

Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about a full 2015 aftermarket or OEM suspension?

If OEM, you will get some sag, as the 2016s are heavier in the front end than the 2015s. The components will fit, but they're not ideal for the application.

If aftermarket, a lot of companies do not distinguish between the 2nd and 3rd gens so, depending on the manufacturer, you should be fine.

It is OEM front and rear bilstien shocks and overload leafs. Was hoping I could swap the ‘16 coils for the ‘15’s and it would retain stock height.

By the sounds of it I’ll still be sitting low even with the coil swap.

I think you'd be better off searching the marketplace for a 3rd gen OEM take-off. There always seems to be handful of them for sale.
