They're not too hard to rebuild, just a little messy and having access to a parts cleaner really helps. I haven't rebuilt 2nd gen tacoma axles but I've rebuilt a handful of 3rd gen T4R axles and some volvo axles. Procedure is about the same for all of them.

    ...too much shit to list.
Disconnect the wire on both ends and see if there is continuity between the ends. There are two wires wrapped in that loom and both need continuity. If you have that wire zip tied too tight it will stretch and break the wires inside st droop. A lot cheaper to check and resolder that than replace a sensor

Yeah, it seems I severed the left side a while back, probably due to what you describe; too tight on the zip tie. I haven't crawled under there yet, but suspect this is the case again. And after the Rubicon, very likely the droop got me.

    Thanks.

Ya I'm very happy with them. I did the high angle boots on the inner and some cheaper on the outer. Shitty part was the cost of shipping back the cores but that was partially my fault because I used UPS.

Appears the new neighbor moving in just across the street from me has a nice looking GX470, with a Tepui awning on a Prinsu rack, and dark bronze SCS F-5s, just like mine.

Cant remember off hand but I believe that the prices are on his website. They are obviously going to be more expensive than a diy rebuild.

Steering coupler. Check TSB’s. I’ve had the dealership replace mine twice.

Has anyone replaced the gasket material on their truck fridge before? I think the ones on mine are old and don't seal very well anymore.
