So the other day i looked online for a black grille that didn't cost $6,000. lol i really dont think they are even worth the $150 but if you want the TRD PRO look your going to spend $600+ for a real one and 100-200 for a copy. still plastic and still looks like a stock grille. I hated my sport grille and just all the plastic. But to my surprise i found a deal and its available in stainless and aluminum. cost 70-80 bucks and takes 20min to install.

Looks like weber grill grate in the uninstalled pic.

    Doesn't look too bad.

For the record, i don't like the pro grill in person. I see so many of them

yeah i dont like the pro style but like the all black. my new one looks as if there isn't a grill one it at all at night, its a super hi-flow design. the stainless one looks thicker.

    Take the grill off.
Paint the condenser coil haze gray.
Glue rows of shark teeth around the perimeter.
    Install smoke-black headlight lenses.
Find a bigger shark fin antenna.
Grind one wheel bearing race to make noise, duh-DUH-duh-DUH-duh-DUH...

If you want a GRILL, go get a Weber.

    Geez.

I have a faux pro grille, so I guess I have nothing else to say.

That's the kind of simple no nonsense grill I'd like...but stinking TSS won't work with it.

I'm working on this one, $43.90.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BR0OEOE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's flat but flexible and if you heat it, it can be reformed. It has a border but there's enough width/length for both upper and lower grill openings. Not ABS but more like the Tacoma bumper plactic which I believe is urethane. In any case, neither ABS glue nor epoxy sticks to it. I'm using leftover pieces as a mold fior casting filler hexes.

I was looking at doing my own as well. I think im going to retain the stock emblem for the TSS. If it can be removed from the factory grill.

Im also considering a full SR grill and surround. I really like the SR grill

For awhile I was considering how to get the “T-oval” attached but now I’m leaning towards a tech-T from just filled in hexes ala Transformers. I have the grill bent so it bulges forward similar to the stock grill.

i'm with you. its overrated and over priced. this grille isn't flat either it has bends and conforms like the stock grille.
