Yes he is constantly taking things when Mom is watching him. He does not do these crazy things when he is with me. He also does not like anyone on the phone, he wants all the attention. I told my wife he does this to get attention, even if he is bad, he gets attention. Now a year and a half old

Mine tries to be sneaky about it. She'll come and be oh so sweet and lay on my lap for several mins then grab a towel or sock or whatever I've got and bolt off for a chase. She used to grab whatever and go tearing thru the house then she realized if she walked past us normal with whatever she wouldn't get caught as quick. But if I ignore her and don't go after her she'll bring it back and look at me like hey I've got something come get me

When Blue was younger he would grab something when we got home. He'd take it outside, and watch us walk up to the front door drop it and run inside to see us. He's only tore up a few things even as a puppy. He's now 1.5 yo.
Sadie who is 7 months, now only does it when we are home.

They say 1.5 years old they are teenagers, I just called him off a chipmunk he thought he had cornered. He had it trapped behind a chair on the deck. He would go one way, the chipmunk went the other way, then he went to the side where the chippie was ,and that quick the chip pie ran right between his legs. I wish I had my camera, so funny. He hates those chipmunks or squirrels going into my wife’s bird feeder

He had bananas in his mouth yesterday, took them right out of the shopping bag. He looked like he had fangs. Again great camera shot but he dropped them.

Maybe it’s just me but I would rather be home with my dog then to go out and deal with rude people, any people

Glad I am still sane. Having PTSD, he seems to know when I am down in the head. We have many dogs through the 46 years I am married, but I never got this close to a dog. I think it is I am retired now and we are together all day. He finally went down at my feet now. Another thing he does, this way if I get up he comes along.
If I try and pretend that it is not play time he will change that around pushing one of his toys into my legs as I am trying to walk. Almost human. Dogs understand many words and I always talk to mine.

Mine follows me everywhere I go in the house, even when I go to the bathroom he lays by the door patiently waiting. Out of everyone in the family he favors me the most. I think they feel who the Alpha male is and bond to that person for life. Their unconditional love and loyalty overwhelms me. I love my pooch!

I guess I could live without a dog, but life is much better with one. My 7 year old yellow lab is my hunting buddy and constant companion

Love the yellows. We had each color brown yellow and now black. but I liked the yellow the most, very obedient that she scared me at times. I would tell her to pee or poop and she would do it. Now Barney is getting there but he is wild yet, another 1.5 years he will be 3 and they turn for the better. I like Golden's also and have been looking for one so Barney has a pal.

I think we associate characteristics with color. Everyone says chocolates are nut jobs. Riley is far from it. Obedient, wild when he can be, and such a great dog. My black was all business too. I feel like regardless of the color, they are all great dogs with unique personalities.

Exactly right. I’ve always had yellow labs because it is possible to see tics on them and remove them before they burrow in or jump on me.

I grew up with nothing but yellows and blacks. My Dad refused to get a chocolate. First Lab he gets after I move out is a chocolate.

    Asshole
