Considering trading in my Taco.

What's up everyone. So last November my truck got rear-ended. There was damage to my passenger side bumper and corner panel, same side. 2 months ago some prick side swiped my truck overnight while it was parked, (driver side corner panel and bumper. Today, my wife got rear-ended. The guy fell asleep at the wheel. It's been 3 accidents in 10 months and I'm seriously considering just trading my truck in. This time the damage is a lil more severe. That whole bed is going to have to be replaced. What do you guys think?

That sucks. Bad luck. Maybe have it painted OSHA orange... If it is fixed right, you should probably keep it. You'll get killed on resale if that stuff hits Carfax.

Keep the truck have the bed replaced. The damaged bed can be fixed and make a trailer out of it.

It might be just as easy to find a Toyota dealer with a body shop that will trade you for a new 2019 at a nice discount...

 

Bad luck for sure. Get rid of that thing ASAP.

 

The dealership I bought it from has a body shop. That's definitely where I'll be going to get the work done.

 

My 99 was hit same way but twice got fixed kept it 17 yrs no issues but it's either cursed or u got some shitty luck but it looks bad I would cut my losses now unload it

 

I think I am. The more I think about it the more I'm leaning towards that decision.

 

Yea I'm not worried about the work being done. Especially since Toyota dealership will be doing the work, it's guaranteed for life. It's just the fact that shit keeps happening to it. Definitely getting another Tacoma just need to get rid of this specific truck.

 

Trade someone the hood before you trade it in

 

Hopefully insurance co will cut you a check for loss of value. In addition to the repair cost. Assuming the prick that hit you had insurance. I'd get a new on .
