Road trip update

Thats the Fuel Injector cleaning noise and the Clicking sounds like a diesel engine, it can do it for 10 sec or 10 min ..... normal ....

Awesome! Yea I was wondering about that but with no warning lights in the dash I figured everything was normal

 

What's the float gonna run you, and what are the accommodations?

Thanks. The ferry with an inboard basic room (no view and no facilities) was $2700 and I had to book a couple months out.

 

holy shit man!! ok is that because of you bringing a vehicle with stuff or is there something i'm not thinking about?...also very good you get that moving rate versus having them ship it, enjoy the rest of the trip and be safe

 

Be careful when you get there. Black ice nearly killed my son. Flipped his Tacoma into a lake. Air Force survival training likely saved him and his best friend. My wife knew something had happened before we got the call.

 

It was just the basic rate for the truck and the room. The room is an extra charge and they only care about vehicle length.

And here's where I go radio silent for a while. No internet access on the ferry. 4 days ride to Whittier AK and 2 hrs drive home to Wasilla.

 

Well after 4 days ride on the ferry I have made it back to Alaska. What a trip. I put a few thousand miles on my Taco and saw some pretty incredible sights. After getting back and unloading I took a run into town and what a difference. After getting used to driving fully loaded, driving unloaded the truck drives like it has something to prove.
