yeah starting to lose some respect for fox. i don’t have time for this crap. for what they cost, should last longer than a few months of highway driving.

they won’t do it, as it’s technically a toyota part. i tried it last time. i’m going to call tomorrow and talk to them. i have my old service number. i can say this- i’m not taking it back off and shipping it out again. only time it’s coming off this time is if something new is going right back on.

so got in touch with fox, they are pretty adamant that it’s not the shock, as they did a full tear down, rebuilt, and test of everything during the work order. so i will check some other stuff. i will say- doesn’t make a sound driving, only when i shake the truck back and forth. so...the problem could be the nut shaking the truck...

so after driving around for a while, and really trying to figure this out, i have no clue. the shocks taken of left and right feel exactly the same when cycled. you can feel the changes in the bypass and thats about it. I also do not hear it while driving or hitting bumps. I do hear it shaking the truck. But- that could just something else loose, since these trucks make all sorts of random noises.

Either way, im going to pop them off and sell them, throw my bilsteins back on with some height increase. After sliders and the DCLB, i only gained around 3/4" of lift in the front. Once they are off, i will clean them up and go through them make sure all is good.

What about the lower shock mounts. Are the bolts different sizes between them. Pro vs Offroad. Like M14 vs 9/16. Not saying these are the factory sizes, but some shocks have a larger bolt hole and can cause play with load applied.
